Success in Life - The Power of Your Friends

There is a saying that I once heard that goes like this, Show me your friends and I ll show you your future. I have always liked that saying because it sums up a very powerful truth about the friends you have in life. The friends or associations that you have with people will determine much of the success that you have in life.

It s easy to get defensive about the friends you have. I have had people tell me that they weren t going to change or dump their friends just because they wanted to be successful. Of course that isn t what I suggest doing but like I said, it s easy to get defensive.

However I do think that it s important to see if your friends are helping or hurting your process to success. You may have some friends that it would be better to limit your time with them. After all, if a person is hindering or stopping you from reaching success in life because they are a bad influence, they may not be a friend in the first place.

If you do have great friends then you are a very blessed person. The next step in your process to success is to develop other friendships with people who are more successful then you and your friends. You always want to be adding friends and acquaintances to your life that will benefit and help you in your life as well as you doing the same for them. Your friends are a very powerful influence on the level of success that you have in life.
