10 Steps to Becoming a Travel Writer

1. Plan a trip somewhere; or look at your hometown through the eyes of a tourist
2. Get to know your destination and find the "Hot Spots"
3. Pick one or many themes that you would like to write about
4. Find publications that would be interested in the topics that you have chosen to passionately write about
5. Gain recognition by posting free articles related to travel subjects

    

    

6. Take as many notes and pictures as you can while at your destination
7. Combine your notes and recollections with internet research for specifics or more history
8. Write until your heart is content, and then write some more
9. Submit your story to all of the interested parties you have found
10. Read your own name in print and smile.
